Homework Grading Rubrics.
Homework assignments that you turn in will be graded according to the Homework Rubric and Proof Rubric.

Homework 1 - Due: Aug 27
  • Read the syllabus and complete the intro sheet.
  • Read pp. 3-12.
  • Chapter 0 - 1,3,5,6,7,12,15,16,18,19,Challenge: 20.

  • Homework 2 - Due: Aug 28
  • Read pp. 13-23.
  • Chapter 0 - 27,34,59,60.
  • Notation: If \(R\) is a relation, the book uses \(aRb \) to mean that \(a\) is related to \(b\); that is, \( (a,b)\in R\). The book also mentions other notations, such as \(a \sim b\) instead of \(aRb \).
  • Complete these two additional problems.
